MCESA Superintendent

The office of the Superintendent provides leadership, support, service and assistance to local schools. This office is the liaison to the Michigan Department of Education and is a source of information about the Michigan School Code.

The office of the Superintendent administers MCESA Board of Education policies and operating procedures, and coordinates planned cooperative projects with local school districts. The Superintendent is the contact person for: Civil rights issues, property transfer requests, legal concerns, inter-agency collaboration, Title IX complaints, charter school information/oversight, and Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests.

The office of the Superintendent maintains links with the Michigan Association of School Boards (MASB), the Michigan Association of Intermediate School Administrators (MAISA), and the American Association of Educational Service Agencies (AAESA) The Superintendent works with Midland County's legislative representatives to provide legislative forums, legislative analysis, and updates for school administrators.
