The Imagination Library

The Imagination Library was originally developed by country singer Dolly Parton for her home community in Tennessee. Thanks to the Success By Six Partnership and the Midland County Educational Service Agency all children in Midland County, ages birth to five-years-old, can now receive one book a month until their fifth birthday. We now know that early exposure to reading and parent encouragement are critically important in preparing children for success in school. Reading aloud with children is one of the most important things parents and care-givers can do.

The Midland County Educational Service Agency and our partner school districts encourage the concept of early reading as integral to preparing children for school and early student success. Through our affiliation with Imagination Library, all of Midland County’s children can receive an age-appropriate, hardcover book, mailed to their homes each month from birth to their fifth birthday. This is a great opportunity to unwrap the magic of books for your children.
