THE HISTORY:

The first Together For Kids Parenting Conference was held in 1999 with over 100 volunteers and over 20 agencies and organizations that came together to make this day-long event a success.  This parenting conference takes place generally every other year in the fall, and it is designed to meet the needs of parents of children from birth through high school. A TRUE COLLABORATION:
This is a true community collaboration, in that agencies, organizations, and parents from all over the Mid-Michigan region have come together to plan and prepare for this conference.  The Together For Kids Steering Committee has been meeting since the spring of 2008 to plan a terrific fall, 2009 parenting conference.
With planning well underway, the 2009 conference will provide parents and educators with the opportunity to choose from a variety of parenting topics in three breakout sessions in the morning.  After a box lunch, parents will then be able to hear our wonderful keynote speaker deliver two separate keynote addresses.
